School Bus Conversion: Tips and Advice
Don't let that overwhelming feeling become a wet blanket on your project.
Converting a school bus is no easy task. Rusty seat bolts, stubborn reflective tape and sun baked vinyl stickers. The shock factor when you learn one bus tire can cost as much as four tires for your car. The endless circles you spin inside the bus trying to plan the most effective floor plan. Realizing that a sticking to a budget is as hard as sticking to a diet. Preventing your school bus roof from leaking in the future. Then there's the sh!t show of finding school bus insurance for your bus conversion when you're ready to hit the road.
However, I can speak from experience that it's one of the most rewarding things you'll do in life. I've heard raising kids is actually the most rewarding thing in life but I've only converted two school buses so far and haven't dove into the kid thing (yet) but there are those who have completed a school bus conversion WITH kids and live full time on the road.
The goal of this section of the website is to help give you good tips and advice for your school bus conversion or future skoolie that you may only be dreaming about for the time being.
